KYKZ 96 INCREDIBLE SPRING GIVEAWAY - Official Promotional Rules

A complete copy of these rules can be obtained at the offices of KYKZ, 425 Broad Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601, during normal business hours Monday through Friday, on line at WWW.KYKZ.COM or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.

No purchase is necessary. By entering a KYKZ contest, you accept our official rules as detailed below.

2. Must be a U.S. resident age 21 or older to participate and win.

The KYKZ 96 INCREDIBLE SPRING GIVEAWAY promotion (the "Promotion") is open to the general public nationwide, except for employees, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates of KYKZ, other participating Cumulus stations, Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, Big O Portable Buildings, participating sponsors, their immediate families, household members and all other radio-industry employees. To be eligible, participants must provide KYKZ with working telephone number and valid mailing address at the time of entry and for prize fulfillment.

An individual may win the KYKZ 96 INCREDIBLE SPRING GIVEAWAY promotion only once for the duration of the contest.

Only one qualifier per household.

The promotion will begin on Monday, March 31, 2008 and will run through Saturday, June 28, 2008.

Listeners can register for the contest by listening weekdays for the KYKZ 96 INCREDIBLE SPRING GIVEAWAY "cue to call". The KYKZ Morning Crew will give the first cue to call each weekday morning at approximately 8:15 a.m., and will announce the hours later in the day that other cues to call will occur. When the cue to call is given the listener who is the 9th caller to get through to the contest lines 436-9600 or 1-800-737-3696 will be qualified for the contest.

Winners of any prize valued at more than $600 must come in person to the KYKZ studio at 425 Broad Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana during regular business hours to complete the proper forms, including an IRS Form W-9, BEFORE the prize can be issued. Proper state-issued photo identification, including social security number, must be presented at that time.

Each qualifier will be entered in the Grand Prize Drawing for a 14’X 22’ portable building from Big O Portable Buildings (delivered and set up free in a 60 mile radius of the KYKZ studio) with other prizes including $960 cash, a framed art print, a queen size bedroom set, a set of power tools, and many other prizes. Total estimated value of the grand prize is $10,000.

Winner of the Grand Prize will be determined by a random drawing Saturday June 28, 2008.

In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by random drawing or another means deemed appropriate by Cumulus Broadcasting LLC. The Cumulus representative conducting the contest will determine all winners; their decisions and interpretations of these rules shall be final.

Each qualifier will be entered in one weekly drawing for a "Drive Away Vacation" including accommodations, and attractions NOT including transportation, the winner is responsible for transportation to and from the vacation destination. Weekly drawing will be held on Monday except the final drawing Friday June 27, 2008 and will include only qualifiers from the previous week. Each qualifier will be in only one weekly drawing.

 

All state, local, federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded are the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize or prizes valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS Form 1099 to report their winnings.

All prizes are awarded "as is." Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged for other trips, prizes or cash.

KYKZ and Cumulus Broadcasting LLC shall not be responsible for the failure of participating sponsors to deliver prizes as promised.

 

All qualifying prizes must be claimed in person at KYKZ during regular business hours and within ten business days of winning, excluding holidays. After such time, ownership of said prize reverts to Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, to be disposed of at their discretion or not. The winner loses all claims and rights to said prize.

All entry blanks, forms devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of KYKZ and Cumulus Broadcasting LLC to be used, disposed of or destroyed at their discretion. Such uses may include, but are not limited to, enrolling entrant in one or more of the station’s listener clubs and sending entrant correspondence and solicitations with regard to such clubs. Further Cumulus Broadcasting LLC is not responsible for lost, mutilated, illegible, misdirected, late, stolen, incorrect or incomplete entries. KYKZ and Cumulus Broadcasting LLC are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information entered by website users, and assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to the website.

All winners agree that Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, their affiliates and sponsors may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, their affiliates and sponsors deems necessary without compensation. All winners will be further required to hold Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, their affiliates and sponsors, blameless and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use.

By participating in a KYKZ contest, each participant agrees to release and waive any and all claims for damage for death, personal injury, loss of property or property damage that he or she may sustain as a result of his or her participation in the contest or the use or non-use of any prize, and to release radio station KYKZ, Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, all contest sponsors and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with his or her participation in the contest, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above.

KYKZ and Cumulus Broadcasting LLC reserves the right to end a contest at any time upon advanced notice to the public

KYKZ and Cumulus Broadcasting LLC reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter a contest or drawing.

KYKZ and Cumulus Broadcasting LLC reserves the right to require contestants or their representative via written proxy to be present at drawings in order to win their prize.

Cumulus Broadcasting LLC reserves the right to change any part or portion of this promotion and or the promotional elements. Odds of winning are based on the number entries received.

All KYKZ General Contest Rules apply to this promotion.

Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for the station to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests and events at the sole discretion of the station, as well as forfeiture of any prize or prizes won by fraudulent means.
