I was born on the bayou in Cut Off, LA (the end of the world) and moved to Moss Bluff when I was only 6 weeks old. I come from a huge Cajun family, but am the only one without an accent (and I can’t even fake one). I stumbled into the Radio World in early 2016 and I have been having a blast ever since. I’ve listened to KYKZ 96 since I was a little girl, so it has been such a cool experience being on the other side of the radio!
Every day is a new adventure! I also have been blessed with an opportunity to work for such an amazing station especially with our current nomination of Top 5 for Radio Station of the Year by the American Country Music Association! I graduated from McNeese in 2012 and pursued a Public Relations career in the non profit sector. When off the air, I am the promotions director for all 6 Cumulus Lake Charles stations, so I get to use my PR and Marketing skills while at the station. I am a member of the SWLA Safety Coalition, the Junior League of Lake Charles, and a Phi Mu Alumna. In my spare time I love check out our local music scene whjich is booming, shop, get pampered, travel, fish, play volleyball and softball, go to concerts, or visit with friends and family. But most of my spare time is spent cheering on my favorite coach/hubby Blake at either the baseball or football field! Thanks for keeping KYKZ 96 the #1 Country Station in SWLA!
I’m from the small town of North Salem, Indiana. Safe to say I’m a long way from home but I couldn’t be more excited. I recently graduated from Ball State University where I was a double-major in Telecommunications and Journalism. I’ve been involved in radio since high school but I’m ready to start my career with KYKZ 96.
I’m a big nerd at heart so I love all kinds of music, movies and TV shows. In my free time I enjoy weight training, reading, going to the movies and spending time with family and friends. I love meeting new people and trying new things and I’m excited to be doing with you!
