I saw this on Facebook over the weekend and thought it was one the coolest things I’ve ever seen. It is a fabulous Rube Goldberg-like machine and spits balls around at various percussion instruments and produces some pretty cool music. The posting said it was located at the University of Iowa.
The device depicted in this video does not exist, at the University of Iowa or anywhere else. It’s an example of a computer-animated music video, this one entitled “Pipe Dream” and taken from one of several similar segments on a DVD produced by a company called Animusic. Oh well….File it under “Too Good To Be True”..
