Louisiana tax payers affected by recent flooding will receive filing extensions for tax returns.  The extended deadline for all eligible tax returns is June 15th.  Extensions are available to taxpayers whose homes, businesses, or critical tax records are located in Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, and Vernon parishes.

A Sulphur man has been arrested for intentionally exposing a woman to the AIDS virus.  45 year old Brian E. State and Federal officials say more than $4.3 million has been given to Louisiana flood victims.  REcovery officials are urging residents not to splurge on unnecessary items…noting the money is for emergency repairs, temporary housing, and basic necessities.  To register for disaster assistance, go online to www.disasterassistance.gov.
